My Ljubljana Tour Guidelines
Free Walking Tours for Individuals and Small Groups
Our free walking tours are designed for individuals and small groups (fewer than ten people). These tours operate on a tips-only basis, with no upfront fees. We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour begins, as late arrivals may forfeit their spot to other participants. This policy ensures the tour and the schedule remain punctual.
Private Tours for Large Groups
If your group consists of ten or more people, we recommend booking a private tour to guarantee that everyone stays together. Should a large group arrive at the meeting point without booking a private tour in advance, the guide may split the group across different public tours, based on availability. We advise you to contact us ahead of time to arrange a private tour for groups of 10 or more.
Semi-Private Tours
Our semi-private tours are pre-paid, scheduled tours where you’ll join other travelers. These tours follow a fixed itinerary, and customization is not available (e.g., meeting points or duration).
Once you’ve successfully completed your booking, a confirmation and tour ticket will be sent to your email. If you don’t receive the confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us at info@myljubljanatour.com to ensure the booking has gone through. Remember to bring either a printed ticket or a digital version on your smartphone/tablet, along with a valid photo ID. If you don’t have access to a smartphone or printer, it’s best to pay in person at the tour start point.
Please note that admission fees for certain attractions or additional expenses like headsets may be required, even in cases where cancellations are made more than 24 hours before the tour (e.g., for specific museum tickets).
Private Tours
Private tours offer a personalized experience, with a guide exclusively for you and your group. You can choose from our available options or create a custom tour by contacting us at info@myljubljanatour.com. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email. If you don’t receive the confirmation, please reach out to us to verify your booking status. Be ready to show your ticket on your device or a printed copy, along with a valid ID.
Children under 16 are welcome on the tours but must be accompanied by a parent, teacher, or legal guardian who will remain with the group for the duration of the tour.
Cancellation Policy
For Clients:
You may cancel your booking by sending an email to info@myljubljanatour.com. To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the tour. Please note, certain costs such as tickets, bank fees, or other supplier charges (food, drinks, transportation) are non-refundable. Private tours for up to 4 people must be canceled at least 96 hours in advance, while those for groups larger than 4 require a one-week notice for a full refund. Refunds do not include pre-paid tickets or services like transportation or food.
For Us:
We strive for a 99% success rate in conducting all scheduled tours. In the rare case we need to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances on our end or those of a guide, we will offer a full refund and up to 50% credit toward future bookings. This credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Tour Changes
We reserve the right to make changes to your tour, with major adjustments (such as date or time changes) being communicated at least 7 days in advance. If you are unsatisfied with the changes, you can request a full refund. Minor adjustments (such as a change of guide) will be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the tour.
Client-requested changes may incur additional fees. Major adjustments after a booking confirmation has been sent, such as increasing group size or altering the itinerary, may be subject to an amendment fee of up to €100. However, small modifications, such as slight changes to the route, may not incur additional costs.
Late Policy
Your guide is booked for a specified duration, as outlined in the tour description. If your group arrives more than 10 minutes late, this time will be deducted from the overall tour duration. In case of delay, contact us at +386 69 853 272 during office hours or info@myljubljanatour.com after hours. If no contact is made within 15 minutes, the group will be considered a no-show, and the tour will be canceled without a refund.
Force Majeure
My Ljubljana Tour and its partners are not responsible for cancellations due to events outside of our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, strikes, or government actions. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer substitute services, but refunds will not be provided if no suitable alternative is available or accepted.
Travel Vouchers
If you do not receive your service voucher before departure, please contact us immediately. Failure to reach out in time may result in the loss of your reservation. Upon receiving your voucher, carefully review all details to ensure accuracy. Any errors should be reported as soon as possible.
Health, Safety & Responsibility
Participation is at your own risk. By joining the tour, you accept full responsibility for any personal health conditions, food allergies, or sensitivities.
MyLjubljanaTour is not liable for injuries, accidents, lost items, or other incidents occurring during the tour.
You are responsible for your own belongings. We do not assume liability for items lost or damaged at partner venues or in public areas during the tour.
Street Food Tour Terms
By booking or participating in any of our food-related experiences, including our Street Food Tour, you agree to the following terms and conditions, in addition to the general Terms & Conditions of MyLjubljanaTour.
Booking & Payment
The tour is confirmed only once you receive a written booking confirmation by email.
Payment is required in advance through our secure booking system. In rare last-minute cases, cash payments may be accepted, but only upon prior agreement.
In peak season (April to October), bookings may fill up quickly. We reserve the right to release unpaid reservations if not confirmed on time.
Cancellation Policy
We work with small groups and reserve tasting spots at local businesses. To ensure fairness to our guides and partners:
A full refund is available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the tour start time.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled tour or for no-shows (including missed flights, delays, or fewer guests than booked).
Changes & Emergencies
In the event of severe weather, illness, or force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, etc.), MyLjubljanaTour reserves the right to cancel, modify, or substitute parts of the tour.
If changes are needed to improve guest safety, comfort, or logistics, we may adjust the route, tasting stops, or timing without prior notice.
Health, Safety & Responsibility

Photography & Media
By attending the tour, you agree that photos or videos taken during the experience may be used for promotional purposes, including on our website and social media channels. If you prefer not to appear in any images, just let your guide know at the start of the tour.
Weather & Clothing
Tours run in all weather conditions unless canceled by MyLjubljanaTour for safety reasons. Please dress appropriately (comfortable shoes, umbrella, sunscreen, etc.).
We recommend bringing a water bottle and wearing layers depending on the season.
